Face Encoding
There is a high possibility that face images are obtained from moving subjects and/or from distance. This means that the image quality is subjected to be poor, which requires manual encoding from the system operator. Therefore, the abilities of coding module becomes more of an issue in order to match a suspect.
- Automatically
Automatic coding is particularly useful if the image is already in quite good quality. In other words, image is taken cooperatively with the subject. In that case, Papilon PYUZ conducts coding process by determining the reference points itself, yet still permits the operator to get involved in the coding process. Anthropological reference points are developed for automatic encoding option.
- Manually
Manual coding requires an operator to position reference points onto indefinite, blur or lurid images.
- Stereotyped
Stereotype coding works best when something about subject’s appearance over-prominently says a generic claim about his her nationality, ethnicity (e.g. Hispanic, Eastern-European). Stereotype coding accelerates the coding process and narrow downs the result in the candidate list.

Versatility of PYUZ Database
PYUZ Database demonstrates such sophisticated operating features to its users.
- Operators are able to display all types of candidate lists.
- They can further edit these lists and any kind of database object can be edited through alterations.
- It also embodies lots of filters within its database to search a particular specialty to match individuals.
